Apple Pay

Overview

Apple Pay is a digital wallet developed by Apple that allows customers to make secure payments using their Apple devices, including iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Watch.

At checkout, customers can pay without entering card details manually. Instead, they confirm the payment using Face ID, Touch ID, or their device passcode. This results in a faster and more seamless checkout experience, especially on mobile devices.

Apple Pay uses tokenization to protect sensitive payment data. The customer's actual card number is never shared with the merchant. Instead, a secure, encrypted token is generated for each transaction.

Compatibility

Apple Pay availability depends on the customer's issuing bank, device, browser, and in specific countries and regions.

Additionally, Apple Pay is available to shoppers as a payment method option if they already added a card to their Apple Pay wallet.
